How to do Powder Coating ?

In Powder coating process, CRCA surface is given Anti Corrosive Surface treatment, then Epoxy Powder is applied, melted and hardened.

Time needed: 3 hours

How to do Powder Coating ?

  1. Degrease

    Oil or Grease is removed by diping CRCA Steel fabrication into Acidic /Alkaline solution at Ambient temperature for 30 minutes.
    Immersion Solution : Acidic/Alkaline Solution.
    Temperature : Ambient/Room Temperature.
    Duration : 30 minutes.

  2. Rinse – I

    CRCA Steel Fabrication is Rinsed, so that no Oil/Grease/Acidic solution is transfected to next stage.
    Immersion Solution : Water
    Temperature : Ambient/Room Temperature.
    Duration : 10 minutes.

  3. Chemical Cleaning  / Derusting

    CRCA Steel Fabrication is dipped into Hydrocloric Acid, which removes Rust and Mil Scales on the Steel Fabrication. Hydrocloric Acid is kept at Ambient temperature.  
    Immersion Solution : Hydrocloric Acid
    Temperature : Ambient/Room Temperature.
    Duration : 30 minutes.

  4. Rinse – II

    CRCA Steel Fabrication is Rinsed, so that no Rust/Hydrocloric Acid is transfected to next stage.
    Immersion Solution : Water
    Temperature : Ambient/Room Temperature.
    Duration : 10 minutes.

  5. Surface Activation

    CRCA Steel Fabrication is dipped into Activation chemicals.
    Immersion Solution : Activation Chemical Solution.
    Temperature : Ambient/Room Temperature.
    Duration : 5 minutes.

  6. Phosphating

    CRCA Steel Fabrication is dipped into solution of Zinc Phosphate at Ambient Temperature. 
    Immersion Solution : Zinc Phosphate.
    Temperature : Ambient/Room Temperature.
    Duration : 30 minutes.

  7. Rinse – III

    CRCA Steel Fabrication is Rinsed.
    Immersion Solution : Water
    Temperature : Ambient/Room Temperature.
    Duration : 10 minutes.

  8. Passivation

    CRCA Steel Fabrication is dipped into Decxylite Solution at Ambient Temperature to seal the surface for obtaining maximum corrosion resistance.
    Immersion Solution : Decxylite Solution
    Temperature : Ambient/Room Temperature.
    Duration : 5 minutes.

  9. Oven Drying

    CRCA Steel Fabrication is Dryed by Hot Air at 150 *C.
    Environment : Hot Air
    Temperature : 150 *C Temperature.
    Duration : 10 minutes.

  10. Powder Coating

    CRCA Steel Fabrication is powder coated by Spraying the Epoxy powder of desired color.
    Environment : Spray of Epoxy Powder
    Temperature : 150 *C Temperature.
    Duration : 15 minutes.

  11. Curing / Baking

    CRCA Steel Fabrication is Baked in Electric Oven at 150 *C for 15 minutes.
    Environment : Oven
    Temperature : 150 *C Temperature.
    Duration : 15 minutes.
