How to do Hot dip Galvanization ?
- Degreasing
In this stage, Oil or Grease is removed by diping steel fabrication into Acidic/Alkaline solution.
- Rinsing
In this stage, Steel Fabrication is Rinsed, so that no Oil/Grease/Acidic solution is transfected to next stage.
- Chemical Cleaning
In this stage, Steel Fabrication is dipped into Hydrocloric Acid, which removes Rust and Mil Scales on the Steel Fabrication. Hydrocloric Acid is kept at Ambient temperature.
- Rinsing
In this stage, Steel Fabrication is Rinsed, so that no Rust/Hydrocloric Acid is transfected to next stage.
- Flux Treatment
In this stage, Steel Fabrication is dipped into solution of Zinc Cloride + Ammonium Chloride. Flux Treatment, Aids/Helps reaction of steel and Zinc in next stage, by increasing wetablity of the Steel fabrication surface.
- Drying
In this stage, Steel Fabrication is Air Dried, post which coat of flux is formed.
- Galvanize
In this stage, Steel Fabrication is dipped into molten Zinc (+98.5% ) of temperature 450 *C. Min 20 minutes immersion may be required. Due to Reaction of Zinc and Iron, coating are formed on the surface of Steel fabrication, which are Zinc Iron Alloy
- Quench
In this stage, Steel Fabrication is allowed to Air Dry Or dipped into Quench tank to avoid undesirable reaction with atmosphere.
